Meister for Senate launches TV ads downstate

(Chicago) Jacob Meister, candidate for U.S. Senate, will make his television debut Monday, when his campaign begins running its first ad “We Are Ready” in Central Illinois.
The 60-second spot is a narrative which introduces voters to Jacob Meister, why he is running for the United States Senate and why it was important to file his candidacy in person in Springfield. The purchase makes Meister the first candidate in the race to air ads on network television.
The ad will begin airing Monday on the following stations: WCIA (Champaign); WICS (Springfield); WMBD (Peoria); and WEEK (Peoria). The spot is available for viewing at the Meister for Senate 2010 spot on You Tube.
Meister for U.S. Senate's TV buy is its second media purchase; the campaign was the first U.S. Senate campaign to broadcast radio ads statewide last month.
