Meister Takes His 20/20 Vision on the Road
January 13, 2010
Jacob Meister, Democratic candidate for the United States Senate, is taking his campaign on the road in the last 20 days of the primary election, scheduling town halls in six cities across Illinois.
“Our staff and volunteers continue to do an incredible job contacting individual voters in the best and most meaningful way, person-to-person,” Meister said. “Believing in the idea ‘if you build it they will come,’ I am proud of the foundation that we have put in place and look forward to hearing from voters.”
Meister is the only U.S. Senate candidate who has set up a statewide field operation, working with staff in Chicago, Wheeling, Homewood, Peoria, Champaign and Aurora.
“Our grassroots effort has given us the chance to learn more about communities all across Illinois, and is evidence to the voters that their community is as important to me as any other,” Meister said.
Continuing his statewide strategy, Meister is holding town hall meetings in six cities, from Arlington Heights to Peoria. Meister says he will continue to focus the discussion on his comprehensive 20/20 Vision, his blueprint to rebuild Illinois’ economy and create sustainable jobs.
