Join us Monday night for our first Telephone Town Hall.
When was the last time you heard a politician say ‘I’m listening’? How often have you reacted to that shallow assurance with an, oh yeah, listening to who? When was the last time you had the opportunity to drive the discussion and an agenda? When was the last time you were remotely interested in doing so? When was the last time someone asked you what you thought, and meant it?
We are asking.
Where Illinois is now and how we came to this point is very much about what is wrong with politics in Illinois. It is part of the reason why I got off the sidelines and got into this race. For far too long, politicians have made promises and broken them in a single breath.
Enough.
Grab a cup of coffee or tea this evening, curl up with the phone Monday night at 7:30 p.m. Join me Team Meister for its first telephone town hall.
